Founded in 1988 in London, Strand provides electoral management software and services to 112 local authorities across the UK. This covers a voting population of over 13 million people.

Stuart Crosby, Computershare’s CEO said: ‘The acquisition continues Computershare’s strategy of moving into complementary market segments where our existing systems and expertise can provide significant benefits for customers. Every single one of Strand’s clients stands to benefit, in the very near future, from greater investment in staff, systems and processes, as well as a wider technological and service base.’
